Nani and Victor Moses complete shock transfers to Kazakhstan clubs

The high-profile transfers see ex-Manchester United winger Nani join FC Aktobe, whilst former Chelsea wing-back Moses has signed for FC Kaysar Kyzylorda, bringing significant international pedigree to the Central Asian league.
Nani comes out of retirement to join FC Aktobe
At 39, Nani has reversed his retirement decision to sign a one-year deal with Aktobe.The former Portugal international had called time on his playing career after featuring for hometown side Estrela da Amadora in November 2024.
However, the Champions League winner under Sir Alex Ferguson has now embarked on a new chapter that also includes an expanded role in the club’s development project.
I am very excited about this new project and about the opportunity to help develop football at the club and in Kazakhstan.Nani also thanked club owner Nurlan Artykbaev, chairman Arman Ospanov and regional governor Askhat Shakharov for their support, praising the club's long-term vision.
FC Aktobe offers excellent conditions and I was very warmly welcomed. I feel that together we can work to elevate the club not only domestically but also internationally.

A decorated career across Europe and beyond
Nani enjoyed his peak years at United, scoring 41 goals in 230 appearances and winning:- 1 × UEFA Champions League
- 4 × Premier League titles
- 2 × League Cups
Since retiring, Nani has focused on his football academy and completed the UEFA A Elite Youth Licence, qualifying him for elite academy management roles - experience that aligns with Aktobe's youth development ambitions.

Victor Moses joins FC Kaysar after Luton exit
Meanwhile, Moses, 35, has signed for Kaysar after being without a club since leaving Luton Town.The Nigeria international confirmed the move with a brief message on X.

From Premier League champion to Kazakhstan
Moses built his reputation in England with Crystal Palace, Wigan Athletic and Chelsea, where he played a key role in the Blues' 2016/17 Premier League title under Antonio Conte.He also had spells with Liverpool, Stoke City, West Ham United, Fenerbahçe, Inter Milan and Spartak Moscow.
His move to Kaysar marks another overseas adventure after previous stints in Turkey, Italy and Russia.
