Atlético goalkeeper Everson managed to get a hand to the ball but could not keep it out.
The visitors struggled to respond after conceding and nearly fell further behind before the break, with Everson forced into a strong save to deny Erick.
Erick seals the victory
Atlético attempted to change the momentum early in the second half as head coach Eduardo Domínguez introduced attacking stars Hulk and Dudu in the 57th minute. However, Vitória doubled their lead in the 67th minute through Erick, who finished a counter-attack with a trademark diagonal strike after receiving a pass from Baralhas.
