Cannavaro eyes Juve return

Italy captain Fabio Cannavaro admits he would like to play for Juventus again and promises he will win back the support of the Bianconeri faithful should he rejoins the Turin giants.

Juventus fans were incensed when Cannavaro jumped ship and moved to Real Madrid after the Calciopoli scandal rocked the Bianconeri in 2006.

But Cannavaro doesn't feel this would block his return to Turin when his contract with Los Merengues expires at the end of the season.

He told Tuttosport: "Everyone knows that I would happily return to Juve where I spent two great seasons and won Scudetti that nobody can take away from me.

"But I don't live on the moon, I know that people expected me to stay at Real and I know what kind of reservations the fans may have over me.

"People expected me to stay (in 2006) but I have explained my decision to leave 1000 times and I am ready to do it again. I am not worried because I will talk to the supporters."
