World Cup qualifier: Malta 0-1 Sweden

Sweden closed the gap on Group 7 leaders Denmark to just three points thanks to hard-fought 1-0 win over Malta in Ta'Qali.

Ian Azzopardi scored an own-goal in the 81st minute to save Sweden from an embarrassing setback against a team made up mainly of amateur players that has yet to score a goal in the qualifying campaign.
