Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe missed an injury time penalty as Everton produced a dramatic comeback in a 2-2 draw at Goodison Park.
Defoe had put Spurs ahead shortly after the break and Michael Dawson doubled their advantage with more than half an hour remaining.
However, Everton created a thrilling finale as substitute Louis Saha converted an excellent 78th minute assist from Seamus Coleman before Tim Cahill equalised with a low header from Leighton Baines' cross four minutes from time.
Spurs had their chance to win the match after Wilson Palacios was brought down by Tony Hibbert inside the 18-yard area in time added on, but Defoe smashed the ball straight at Tim Howard from the spot.
