Roberto Carlos urges David Trezeguet to join Corinthians

Wednesday, April 7, 2010

Juventus striker David Trezeguet wants to play in Brazil with Corinthians, according to legendary left-back Roberto Carlos.

The French-Argentinian forward is expected to leave Juventus this summer as the Bianconeri undergo an extensive reconstruction plan after a catastrophic season.

"Last week I received a call from my friend from France, who is a close friend of Trezeguet," Carlos told Brazilian newspaper Terra. "He told me that David would be available to play for Corinthians.

"He isn't talking about other clubs but just Corinthians. He wants to play here in Brazil."

If the 32-year-old did join Corinthians next season he would get the chance to link up with Ronaldo, who plans to retire at the end of the 2010/11 season.
