First half goals from Bafétimbi Gomis and Bakary Koné helped Olympique Lyon to a 2-0 triumph over Dinamo Zagreb on home soil.
The French side dominated the first period and their pressure paid off midway through the half when Gomis opened the scoring with an exquisite lob from outside the area in the 23rd minute.
And Koné put Lyon 2-0 up three minutes before the interval as he took advantage of slack Dinamo marking at a corner to tuck the ball into the net.
