A first-half goal from Bruno César was enough to hand Benfica a well-deserved 1-0 win at Romanian side Oţelul Galati.

César scored the only goal of the game five minutes from the interval when he slotted home cooly after midfielder Nicolás Gaitán had created the opening for him.
