Reigning champions AC Milan moved up to second in Serie A after dispatching Chievo Verona 4-0 at the San Siro.
All four goals came in the first half with Thiago Silva opening the scoring after eight minutes and Zlatan Ibrahimović doubling the lead in the 16th minute with a shot which dipped over Stefano Sorrentino from 20 yards out.
Alexandre Pato added a third after half an hour before a penalty from Ibrahimović took the Rossoneri above Udinese into second place.
