New Napoli signing Gonzalo Higuaín had been hospitalised after a freak accident while enjoying a day off on the island of Capri over the weekend.
On one of his days off, Higuaín recently took a quick trip to Capri, an island found a few kilometres off the Naples coast.
The former Real Madrid striker is thought to have been relaxing in a boat off the gulf of Naples when he slipped on rocks before hitting his face while in the Marina Piccola.
He was immediately taken to the Capilupi hospital on the small Italian island, where his injuries required ten stitches, eight of them around the jaw area.
According to reports in Italian media, the injury was not serious and Higuaín should return to training this week where he'll be supervised by his club's medical staff.
