Japanese fans help with stadium cleaning chores after Ivory Coast defeat

Japan might have lost their World Cup opener against Ivory Coast, but their fans showed it is possible to lose graciously.

After Saturday's match at the Arena Pernambuco in Recife, droves of Japanese supporters patrolled their section of the stands and gathered up discarded litter.

This behaviour is rarely seen in world football - although not in Japan where fans regularly clear up after themselves both home and away.
