Johan Cruyff believes it is a "pleasure" to watch Barcelona under new coach Pep Guardiola this season.

The Dutchman, who led the Catalan club to four La Liga titles and the European Cup, has been impressed with the Blaugrana this term and considers that Pep has made a superb start in his role as coach of Barcelona.

He told Barca TV: "He's doing really well, going step by step, doing things as he believes they should be done.

"He's aware of all the details, and he always tries to get the most out of every player. It's a pleasure to see him on the bench.

"People like Pep try to make the games enjoyable for the people, and that's a real added bonus. It's not just about winning the match, it's something else. And that is what gives you the most pride."

Guardiola's new-look Barça have been in record-breaking form during his first six months in charge since taking over from Frank Rijkaard.

Last Saturday’s 6-0 win over Valladolid was their eighth consecutive La Liga win and their 34th league goal this season, making them the first team in 50 years to score 34 goals in the first 10 matches in the league.

The Catalans have equalled Real Madrid’s untouchable golden era of the late 50s that comprised of mythical names such as Alfredo Di Stéfano, Ferenc Puskás and Francisco Gento when they also notched up that same number of goals by this stage of the 1959/60 season.
