La Liga round-up: Barca still unstoppable; Valencia stunned

Barcelona's superb form continued as they made it 11 wins in a row in all competitions after crushing hosts Málaga 4-1.

Xavi curled a free-kick into the top corner to open the scoring after just six minutes, but Duda had drawn Málaga level on 13 minutes.

Lionel Messi regained the Azulgrana's lead in the 19th minute with a low drive before Xavi scored his second in the 52nd to make it 3-1.

And Robson Weligton's own goal on 81 minutes capped the scoreline.

The victory moves Barça to the top of the table with 22 points.

Previous leaders Valencia suffered a surprise 4-2 defeat at home to Racing Santander thanks to a hat-trick from Mohamed Tchité.

Tchite put Racing ahead after 24 minutes, but David Villa equalised four minutes later from the penalty spot after Joaquín had been brought down.

The visitors restored the lead early in the second half through Tchité, but Joaquín leveled from close range.

Tchité completed his hat-trick on 80 minutes before Valencia captain David Albelda turned the ball into his own net five minutes from time.
