Inter Milan needed a late own goal to secure a 1-0 win over Udinese at the Friuli.

Udinese, who were without leading scorer Antonio Di Natale due to injury, threatened first after 10 minutes. Antonio Floro Flores played Kwadwo Asamoah's cross on to Gökhan Inler, whose shot with the outside of his right foot was on target but palmed away by Júlio César.

Just past the hour Fabio Quagliarella spun round just inside the area and his dipping strike was impressively held by César.

Inter had a fantastic chance to score on 65 minutes when Zlatan Ibrahimović rolled a pass across the face of goal and Dejan Stanković came sliding in to prod wide of the open goal.

The visitors received a further blow in the 73rd minute when César pulled up with an upper right thigh problem after landing awkwardly and requested a substitution, replaced by Francesco Toldo.

Four minutes later, though, Inter were ahead - albeit in fortuitous circumstances. Mauricio Isla attempted to clear the ball away from Patrick Vieira, but the ball bounced off him and rolled past goalkeeper Emanuele Belardi.

Sergio Pellissier scored a last-gasp hat-trick to earn struggling Chievo a shock 3-3 draw with Juventus.

Pellissier fired Chievo in front after 25 minutes before Giorgio Chiellini leveled for Juve nine minutes later.

But Pellissier struck again on 44 minutes as the striker outpaced Olof Mellberg down that right flank before firing across Gianluigi Buffon and into the far corner.

Juventus equalised almost by accident in the 53rd minute when Mario Yepes diverted a Mauro Camoranesi header into his own net.

The home side took the lead for the first time in the match 11 minutes from the end when Vincenzo Iaquinta headed home Camoranesi's cross at the far post.

But Juve were denied the victory when Pellissier nodded in an Antonio Langella cross at the death to complete his hat-trick and earn Chievo a deserved point.

AC Milan left it late against second bottom Lecce as Ronaldinho and Filippo Inzaghi scored in second-half stoppage time to earn a 2-0 win at the San Siro.

Alexandre Pato tried his luck from fully 30 yards in the 34th minute but his speculative effort whistled just past the top corner.

Pato then went on a blazing counter-attack that saw him ride three tackles, but he fired wide of the far post with only goalkeeper Francesco Benussi to beat.

Benussi then made a superb one handed save to palm a Ronaldinho free-kick out of the top corner with three minutes remaining.

Milan finally broke the deadlock in stoppage time. Substitute Philippe Senderos was unlucky not to be the man celebrating the goal for the Rossoneri as his goal-bound header took a deflection off the back of Ronaldinho's head and into the net.

Lecce fell apart and Milan sealed the win moments later with Inzaghi heading in a cross from Andriy Shevchenko at the back post.
