Bayern Munich star Franck Ribéry has reiterated his desire to play in La Liga at some point in his career although a deal for next summer has not yet been agreed.

Bayern reportedly turned down an offer of €80 million from Real Madrid for the France international last month.

Many expected that the arrival of Arjen Robben from Real last week would pave the way for Ribéry to finally leave the Allianz Arena after a summer of speculation.

"Is there an agreement between Bayern and Real for a transfer next summer? Never, I deny it," Ribéry told France Football.

"That is fake. Absolutely nothing has been sorted out so far.

"Bayern officials didn't propose me any extension. Maybe we will talk. I have never closed any door.

"My preference is to move to Spain. One day I will play in La Liga."
