Blackburn Rovers moved up to 11th spot in the Premier League thanks to a hard fought 2-1 triumph over Wigan Athletic at Ewood Park.
Vladimir Stojković endured a nightmare Premier League debut as his poor punch on 20 minutes fell to Morten Gamst Pedersen on the edge of the box and the Norwegian produced a thumping finish to put Blackburn in front.
Wigan drew level 12 minutes into the second-half when Gary Caldwell stooped to bundle home a James McCarthy corner.
The hosts regained the lead with 14 minutes to go when Pedersen turned provider as the winger drilled in a corner and Croatian striker Nikola Kalinić was on hand to head the decisive goal.
