Premier League: Bolton 0-4 Man United

Table of Contents
Manchester United remained one point ahead of Chelsea and four above third-placed Arsenal with a convincing 4-0 over Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium.

There was an element of fortune about the opening goal on 38 minutes as Bolton defender Jlloyd Samuel inexplicably slotted Ryan Giggs' deep cross beyond his own goalkeeper.

Dimitar Berbatov made it 2-0 midway through the second half, pouncing on a rebound after Jussi Jääskeläinen was unable to hold Darren Fletcher's strike.

Berbatov impudently flicked home his second of the game on 78 minutes before substitute Darron Gibson completed the rout with a powerful effort that went in off the crossbar.
