Liverpool battled to their first Premier League win of the campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 success over West Brom at Anfield.
After a goalless first half Fernando Torres broke the deadlock after 65 minutes with a crisp volley into the bottom corner after good work from Dirk Kuyt.
West Brom ended the game with 10 men as James Morrison received a straight red card for a wild tackle on Torres with four minutes remaining.
