France began their Euro 2012 qualifying campaign in the worst possible style as they suffered a shock 1-0 home defeat to minnows Belarus.

Vyacheslav Hleb set up the crucial goal when he weaved to the right of the penalty area and pulled the ball back for Syarhey Kislyak, who beat goalkeeper Hugo Lloris with a powerful shot into the top right corner.
