Inter Milan striker Samuel Eto'o admits he'd take former Barcelona team-mate Lionel Messi over Manchester United ace Wayne Rooney if he had to choose one to play with.
Messi continues to be linked with a shock move to Italy despite the striker claiming he is staying at Barcelona.
But Eto'o insists he would prefer to play alongside Messi over Rooney at the San Siro.
Interviewed on Studio 15, Eto'o said: "Rooney is a champion, but Messi is God.
"I don't know anything about the transfer market, but it's clear that I would support (a bid) for Messi. We have known each other for 10 years, ever since he still played for Barcelona B.
"What else is there to say about the player? He is a really exceptional person."
