New Sevilla coach Gregorio Manzano enjoyed his first home match in charge with a 3-1 home win over faltering Atlético Madrid.
Goals from Álvaro Negredo and Diego Perotti gave Sevilla a two-goal half-time lead, to which Frédéric Kanouté added early in the second half.
Diego Costa narrowed the lead to 3-1 six minutes later but Sevilla held on to their commanding lead.
