Maicon scored a stunner as Inter Milan ended AC Milan's Scudetto hopes with a 4-2 victory in the Derby della Madonnina.
Diego Milito pounced to break the deadlock in the 13th minute but Milan responded through a controversial penalty from Zlatan Ibrahimović three minutes before the break.
Ibrahimović struck again barely a minute into the second half to put the Rossoneri back into the lead, but a pair of penalties from Milito swung the advantage back to Inter's way.
Inter continued to gush forward, though, and Maicon put the derby and the Scudetto race beyond doubt with an absolute beauty in the 87th minute.
Rampaging down the right, as he so often does, the Brazilian full-back unleashed a magnificent scorcher from all of 30 yards.
Milan goalkeeper Marco Amelia was left helpless as he could only watch the ball flew into the top right corner of his goal.
