Rosetta produce a product called the "Beard Beanie" – a woolly hat with a knitted beard stitched onto it – which are apparently massive sellers in the USA.

And the funniest thing is that the players are contractually obliged to wear the hats when they train and travel to games.

Club captain Marc Joseph told the club's website: "Obviously we can't play in them but we can travel, train and warm-up wearing them.

"Then we go clean shaven. We have had all the cracks, ...missed by a whisker and close shaves.

"We have had some funny looks but we love them."

Rosetta boss Steve Keable added: "We are confident they will be a big hit in the UK.

"We are a Kendal based firm and who better to get involved with than the town's football club."

If you're interested in snagging yourself a genuine "Beard Beanie" then you can buy it from the club shop for £20.
