Joey Barton likens Neymar to Justin Bieber

Joey Barton has once more caused controversy after labelling Brazilian superstar Neymar as "the Justin Bieber of football" through social networking site Twitter.

Neymar has been earning rave reviews for his performances in Brazil, with none other than Pelé placing the 21-year-old alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the world's elite.

But the Santos forward failed to impress in Brazil's 1-1 draw with Russia at Stamford Bridge on Monday night, and the watching on Barton was far from impressed.

The comments follow an incident last month when the Olympique Marseille midfielder attacked Neymar, before the Brazilian responded that he had no idea who Barton is.
