Real Madrid fans support Cristiano Ronaldo's Ballon d'Or bid with 45,000 face masks

Cristiano Ronaldo was not able to play for Real Madrid against Galatasaray on Wednesday, but he was still be the focal point at the Bernabéu.

45,000 Madrid fans donned masks of the Portuguese star and held placards aloft in the stands in support of their hero's bid to win the Ballon d'Or for the second time.

The Spanish giants officially sanctioned the stunt, which was proposed by two of the club's biggest supporters groups.
