Sublime Free-Kick! Robert Lewandowski (Dortmund) vs Hertha

Sunday, May 11, 2014

Robert Lewandowski marked his Borussia Dortmund farewell with a superb free-kick in Saturday's 4-0 victory away to Hertha Berlin.

The Bayern Munich-bound striker opened the scoring on 41 minutes and Miloš Jojić's superb effort put Dortmund 2-0 up before the interval.

Lewandowski then scored a stunning free-kick after the break to underline his quality.

The Poland international stepped up to take a free-kick from 20 yards and curled the ball over the wall and past Hertha goalkeeper Thomas Kraft.

It was Lewandowski's 20th goal of the season and it secured him the Golden Boot in the Bundesliga.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan added a fourth to the seal the win just two minutes later.

"He practised free-kicks for four years. From doing 8,000 in training, no more than three went in - unfortunately this is the truth," Dortmund boss Jürgen Klopp joked after the final whistle.
