Liverpool went on to thrash Tottenham 5–1, clinching the Premier League title for the 2024/25 season under new manager Arne Slot.
Goals from Luis DÃaz, Alexis Mac Allister, Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah, and an own goal by Destiny Udogie secured Liverpool's 20th English league title.
It marks Liverpool's first Premier League triumph in front of fans, after the 2019/20 victory celebrations were held behind closed doors due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Slot's side sealed the title with four games to spare, matching Jürgen Klopp's haul and igniting wild celebrations across the red half of Merseyside - blue flares or not.
Final Thoughts
In true Merseyside fashion, even a cheeky prank couldn't dampen Liverpool's triumphant night.
The unexpected blue smoke will go down as a quirky, light-hearted moment in a season of glory for the Reds.
