The winger impressed during a loan spell in Seville last season, convincing Betis to pursue a permanent transfer.
But negotiations with United stalled as both clubs struggled to agree on a fee, with around €5 million separating their valuations.
Betis chief executive Ramon Alarcón admitted the deal was the most complicated of his career, and revealed the club needed to get creative to make the transfer possible.
Antony's Tattoo Becomes Fashion Inspiration
To help cover costs, Betis unveiled a joint fashion collection with Antony, inspired by his distinctive neck tattoo which reads Iluminado - meaning "enlightened" in English.Alarcón told ABC Sevilla:💚🤍 @RealBetis #MuchoBetis pic.twitter.com/gfTTTsI8Ob

We've launched a clothing line with Antony, we're participating with him through royalties. And he'll also have some non-sporting income from that merchandising.
If he ends up being the world star he has been, we at Betis hope to recover the investment and even what it cost us the previous year.
It carries a certain risk because this is locked in for five years and at a high cost, but you can potentially reap benefits.
Transfer Drama Down to the Wire
The deal nearly collapsed just 48 hours before the transfer deadline, with Antony in dispute with United over a payment he claimed was owed. That issue was eventually scrapped, paving the way for progress.
There was a moment when we saw it was lost because United's position was difficult.Adding to the drama, the move required final sign-off from the Glazer family in the United States.
We had a difference of €5m/€6m and had already reached our limit. In the end, we all made an effort, we did our part, and so did the player and United.
The paperwork was only completed at 3pm on deadline day, leaving Betis fans on edge until the very last moment.
United inserted a 50 percent sell-on clause, ensuring they profit from any future sale of the Brazilian, who cost the Premier League side €95 million when he arrived from Ajax Amsterdam in 2022.
What's Next for Antony and Betis?
With the transfer saga finally concluded, Antony is expected to make his second Betis debut after the international break, when Manuel Pellegrini's side face Levante on Saturday.Betis currently sit mid-table in La Liga after a mixed start, and supporters will be hoping Antony's flair and direct play can reignite their campaign.
