Premier League: Man City 2-2 Fulham

Monday, October 26, 2009

Manchester City blew a golden chance to climb into the top three after being held to a 2-2 draw against Fulham at Eastlands.

Defender Joleon Lescott gave the home side the lead from close range in the 53rd minute after Fulham failed to deal with a corner and Martin Petrov continued his goal-scoring form seven minutes later as City mounted a two-goal cushion.

But Fulham struck back just two minutes later when Bobby Zamora chested down Stephen Kelly's cross and Damien Duff drilled home from the edge of the area.

The comeback was complete six minutes later as Clint Dempsey rose high to beat Lescott in the air and nod in off the post.
