Scotland kept their slim hopes of qualifying for next year's World Cup alive with a 2-0 win over Macedonia at Hampden Park.

Scott Brown put the Scots ahead in the 56th minute when he got in front of his marker to head Steven Fletcher's curling left-wing cross past goalkeeper Jane Nikoloski.

James McFadden scored the second with 10 minutes left when he burst forward from halfway and beat three opponents before running around Nikoloski and tapping the ball into an empty net.
