The Sweden international had refused to train with Eddie Howe's first-team squad as he pushed for the switch to Anfield.
Instead, he trained at former club Real Sociedad during pre-season before conducting solo sessions away from his Newcastle team-mates.
Isak did not feature in the Magpies' opening three Premier League matches, with the move finally sealed on deadline day after Liverpool submitted a deal sheet to extend the 7pm transfer deadline.
Newcastle's Blunt Statement
Newcastle's official announcement read:Newcastle United can announce the sale of striker Alexander Isak to Liverpool for a significant British record transfer fee.The short statement made no reference to Isak's strike, nor did it thank him for his two years of service.
The Sweden international joined the Magpies from Real Sociedad in 2022 and made 109 appearances in all competitions.
Liverpool Land Their New Striker
Liverpool's capture of Isak marks a landmark moment for the club, who broke the British transfer record to land their new No 9.Arne Slot had been eager to add a proven Premier League striker to his ranks, with the 25-year-old seen as the long-term successor to Darwin Núñez.
Newcastle's Replacements Secured
Newcastle only sanctioned the deal after securing reinforcements up front. The Magpies signed Nick Woltemade from VfB Stuttgart and wrapped up a £55 million deal for Yoane Wissa from Brentford, ensuring Howe has fresh firepower following Callum Wilson's free transfer to West Ham United.
