After a goalless first half, Didier Drogba broke the deadlock in the 68th minute as the striker reacted sharply to sidefoot into the far corner when John Terry lashed a 20-yard shot that was probably going wide.
Florent Malouda then swept home the second in the 86th minute before Frank Lampard scored a third from close range in added time.
