Summer acquisition Javier Hernández netted twice to give Manchester United a 2-0 victory against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.
The Mexico striker gave the visitors the lead after 27 minutes as he flicked home his header despite facing away from goal.
Stoke refused to throw the towel in and they grabbed a deserved equalizer on 81 minutes when substitute Tuncay Şanlı curled in a stunning finish over the head of Edwin van der Sar and into the top corner.
But United fought back and Hernández popped up in the 86th minute to grab his fifth goal of the season and earn his side's first Premier League victory away from Old Trafford.
