Manchester United managed to start their Premier League title defence with a win after a dramatic 2-1 success away at West Bromwich Albion.
Wayne Rooney got United up and running when he lashed home from the edge of the box on 13 minutes, but a mistake from David de Gea allowed Shane Long to level for the Baggies eight minutes before the break.
United refused to accept a stalemate, though, and Ashley Young's deflected effort 10 minutes from time ensured they did not follow Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea in failing to win their opening match.
