Serie A: Bologna 2-2 AC Milan

Monday, December 12, 2011

Reigning champions AC Milan missed their chance to reach the Serie A summit after being held to a 2-2 draw at Bologna.

Veteran striker Marco Di Vaio put the home side in front after 11 minutes, but Milan were able to turn the tie on its head.

The evergreen Clarence Seedorf hauled the Rossoneri level in the 16th minute and a Zlatan Ibrahimović penalty on 71 minutes looked to have turned the game around.

Milan were pegged back almost immediately, though, as Alessandro Diamanti snatched a point for struggling Bologna with an angled shot from outside the area.
