Levante extended their best ever start by defeating 10-man Málaga 3-0 at home to go level on points with Barcelona at the top of the table.
The hosts got off to a great start after just 14 minutes when José Barkero's shot went in off a deflection of Enzo Maresca.
Things went from bad to worse for Málaga on 27 minutes when goalkeeper Wilfredo Caballero was sent off for handling the ball outside his penalty area.
Juanlu pounced on the rebound of Barkero's ensuing free kick and four minutes before the interval Arouna Koné secured the points for the home side with their third goal.
